Groups and Classes

We are called to lead a radical transformation for Jesus Christ - Everyone, Everyday, Everywhere. God made us for community and for relationships. Groups and Classes offer the type of community and connection that help us experience the full life God intends for us - where there is accountability and encouragement as we do life together.

Our Groups and Class volunteers create environments and build relationships where people can:

  • Know God
  • Grow in their relationship with God and others
  • Discover their purpose so they can
  • Impact their world with the love and message of Jesus Christ

Serving opportunities are available during the week as well as on weekends.

  • Group Leaders and Class Table Leaders build caring relationships with people who share similar interests and have a desire to grow in their relationship with God and others.
  • Group Leaders commit to meet with their group virtually or in homes, coffee shops, parks, or other locations in the community at least two times per month. You can plan for 2-3 hours per week as the time commitment with occasional leadership, training, and special events.
  • Class Table Leaders facilitate discussion with a group of class participants. Classes are scheduled on Sunday mornings and other days of the week, so these volunteers have scheduling options. This is a weekly commitment for a 6-8 week class and includes time in the class and time outside of the class to regularly connect with your group through chat, emails, or phone calls. It is a 2-3 hour weekly commitment with occasional leadership, training, and special events.
  • Class Host/Hospitality Leaders help prepare a welcoming environment by setting up coffee stations, snack areas, and signage or banners to welcome class members. They also prepare and organize tables with decor and class materials used by participants.
  • Weekday Follow-Up/Data Entry Volunteers partner with our Groups team during the week to perform various tasks, including following up with those interested in joining a group, updating information in our member database, or preparing snacks and table materials for the next week of classes.
